The goal of this forum is to provide knowledge and awareness of the cultural beliefs, customs and traditions of immigrant litigants from the Caribbean, and in particular, Haiti, so as to assist our legal community's stakeholders to gain a greater understanding of these litigants. In addition, judges will discuss their own efforts in gaining such understanding and how their efforts have positively impacted the outcome of issues presented to them and reduced the perception of judicial bias or inequity.
